Your city or town will undoubtedly be full of other businesses trying to get their names out there. A little local teamwork goes a long way; see if anyone would display your flyer in their window, and track down any business that are similar to yours. If you’re not direct competitors, you can direct custom to one another; for example, a gym could inform a customer about a health supplement supplier, and vice versa.

Using local SEO enables your website to come top of the list for anyone who’s searching for your service in a location-specific enquiry. Roughly 4 out of 5 consumers use search engines to conduct local searches. Always include the name or the city your business as well as your sector.

There will undoubtedly be a number of community specific social media pages ready for you to showcase your business on. Some may have certain rules regarding how much and when you can advertise, so always be aware of what your posting. Have a voice and get involved with topics that relate to your core values.

Local radio stations, newspapers and blogs are always looking for valuable content to bring to their audience.
